Duration of paper: 45 min
General tips for the Listening Paper
- revise numbers (up to 50,000 - which appeared in a paper once!) and times.
- Section 1 is purely vocabulary (furniture, sports, means of transports, etc). Click here for examples.
- Section 2 contains factual material and attitudes/opinions
- Section 3 requires you to understand agreement/disagreement, complaints, attitudes/emotions/ideas
DO LEARN THE ESSENTIAL VOCABULARY LISTS. Click here for Flash Card Format.
- Grammar-wise, there are quite a lot of verbs in the imperfect (devait, se conduisait, etc), a few gerunds (eg: en économisant), irregular future (fera, aura, sera)
- Some verbs appear regularly in different tenses - it will be essential to recognise them: plaire, vivre
